Kevin and Ha Jing are an extraordinary couple. For one, they have no qualms about online dating and after all, it was what brought them together on 2011 New Year’s Eve in Beijing, China.
Their unconventional wedding was held in an intimate setting at The White Rabbit — a gorgeous restored 1940s chapel in Dempsey — with the Amélie (a 2001 French romantic comedy film starring Audrey Tatou) theme, their favourite romance flick of all time. Some of the unique touches in the wedding include personalised wedding invites, bouquet pull, ring relay, 120 pax group shoot and their very own couple’s table.
The ring relay was quite memorable.
The invitation cards was a tribute to the movie. It was two torn up pictures of them in Zorro costumes holding the save the date sign and pieced together onto the card like a jig-saw puzzle. This was what Amélie did when she sent a message to her crush, Nino, to get him to meet her at secret location for one of her whimsical plans.
